How to Spa

Welcome drinks are served on arrival, day schedules are discussed and consultation cards are completed. Please ensure to double-check treatments and special requirements during this session.

Complimentary tea, coffee and water are available from our coffee station.

Your first treatment is scheduled 30 minutes after your arrival time as stipulated on your Confirmation of Booking document.

While every attempt will be made to accommodate a late arrival, it may result in the deduction of your allocated treatment time, and the full treatment price will be charged.

Day schedules are worked out in advance and no changes will be made on the day.

Please note that package details are in no specific order. Treatments, meals and hydrotherapy will be scheduled according to our best discretion to give you the best possible experience.

Please wear comfortable clothes. Underwear or swimsuits must be worn under the robe and slippers provided for the day. We also provide towels to use during your hydrotherapy session.

• Please ensure to bring a dry set of underwear
• 1 pair of slippers per guest is issued
• Additional slippers are available at R40.00 per pair
• Own swimwear is essential for the steam room

The Steam Room is currently available subject to booking only. Own swimwear essential.

Pools are not heated. No jacuzzis available at this stage — but watch this space, our upgrades are on their way and promise a whole new hydrotherapy experience.

To ensure a peaceful environment, we recommend our guests switch cell phones off during the whole spa experience. This also applies to the reception and coffee shop areas.

Please leave your valuables at home. Alternatively, valuables can be locked away in lockers in the coffee shop.

Single or double treatment rooms are available. We also make use of the garden and deck area to enjoy nature (weather permitted).

We are proud to use the ethical and clinically proven miracle healing and very affordable product range Aloe Unique for facial treatments. Our very own hand-crafted in-house brand, Down to Earth Indulge, is used for all our body treatments. All products are available to purchase at the Spa.

Our lovely therapists are very well trained and have years of experience. They are all passionate about therapy and spoiling our guests. They understand the responsibility and privilege that comes with the occupation — they are all blessed with healing hands!

Kindly note that Riverview Spa has a liquor licence and that no alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages may be brought into the Spa during your day visit.

Arrangements can be made in advance and a corkage fee of R100.00 per bottle will be charged.

Special dietary requirements — gluten free, lactose intolerant, Halaal, free range, vegan — can be accommodated at an additional cost. Please enquire for assistance and availability of requirements at the time of booking.

Please note that sections of the spa are accessed via stairs or steep steps to and from the river-facing spa treatment rooms, and may not be suitable for the elderly or guests with disabilities.

Please kindly inform us at the time of making a booking so we can make alternative arrangements with the treatment rooms.

Strictly no infant or children policy. Only children booked for the Family Outing Package are allowed.

Due to the nature of our spa operations and safety aspects, we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 10. No child minders or care centre are available.

We welcome group bookings and will be able to tailor-make a package to suit your needs.

For group bookings of 10 or more guests, a mandatory 10% service fee will be added to the total of the booking to enable excellent service throughout the hospitality process. This excludes any gratuity fee you may want to add for exceptional service at the end of your session.

Strictly no external visitors are allowed on the premises. This is for safety and security reasons.

Please adhere to the following when driving through the Cradle Moon Conservancy:

• Stay on the main road to Riverview Spa. No turn-off roads to be taken
• 40 km/h speed limit to be kept throughout
• Remain in your private vehicle at all times
• No photos outside private vehicles
• Guests will be held responsible for any damages caused to the property or animals
• No plants, rocks, wood or equipment to be taken off the premises
• No littering allowed
• Please ensure to take a gate pass to exit the Riverview and Cradle Moon gates after your visit

Tipping is not compulsory. If you would like to show your gratitude for exceptional service towards staff, you are welcome to spoil the staff member to a tip — by means of cash payment in the hand of the recipient, or by adding it to your final bill.
